Based on an original proposal to Andy Fuchs by Dweezil Zappa, the Pure Gain Plus allows you to both balance, boost and buffer the levels of two guitars like a single-coil and a humbucker guitar on the fly. If you are in a band with two guitar players, this handy pedal will be of good use. The Pure Gain Plus combines the same great circuitry in the original Pure Gain for a
powerful boost
and adds an
A/B box
to provide two adjustable gain boosts in one convenient package.
Encased in cast aluminum
like all Plush pedals, it is ready to be put through the test of tour.
A/B Switch
When using one input on the Pure Gain Plus, it switches to mono operation, which allows it to function as a three-mode booster with true-bypass and two discrete boost levels. This is perfect for boosting a solo or adjusting the drive levels when switching amps between clean and dirt modes.
Buffer/Boost
Like the original Plush Pure Gain, when the boost level is set to 0, it will act as a buffer. This reduces the guitar's impedance to about 20K, allowing it to drive long cables on a pedal board with minimum sonic impact. As the gain control is increased, the booster adds gain only as required. This is unlike other boosters, which produce full gain at all times and simply lower it with just a volume control.
Aluminum Protection with Quality Components
The Pure Gain Plus is housed an all-aluminum casing just like all of the Plush by Fuchs Audio pedals. The Pure Gain Plus also includes true bypass and has Neutrik connectors. It can be powered by a 9V battery or 9V adapter.
