    Macario Ortiz Estrada, a well known potter from Mata Ortiz, is one of the featured artists in the book, The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz”, published in 1999.  Marcario is especially known for the black graphite process called blackware and for using bright colors on his pottery.
    This pot was purchased directly from Marcario Ortiz on October 8, 2005 and is in good condition. Pot ring is included.
