This is a really Exquisite Small
Heart Shaped Trinket Box
all
Handmade, hand painted and Burnished from
Tonalá
, Mexico.   It is signed Lemus
on the bottom.  This is a wonderful example of Mexican Folk art and Ceramic traditions from this area of Mexico.  There is a Bird and
intricate floral designs painted on the lid.  I have a number of these boxes for sale... see photo # 6 and check out my Ebay store for other designs...
It measures 2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide.

It is much nicer in person!!! Because of the soft burnish to this piece it is hard to photograph properly!!!
The colors are
Subtle Peach and Blue Gray color base...
After it's been painting it is then hand burnished for a lovely satin polish.
