HANDMADE EMBROIDERED QUILT WALL HANGING early 1970’s. Condition is "Pre-owned". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This is my personal work!! When I was only 16 years old, I loved to embroidery. I am now 68! I found some transfers that featured state flowers and decided to make a quilt. The squares have some type of state flower on them and my embroidery skills were showcased. Please enlarge pics and look at the time intensive hand work that went into this.
The quilt measures approximately 70” x 60”. I put a green edging around it, because green was in every image on it. It was made out of 100% cotton and has cotton batting inside.
I added 4 metal rings to the top edge and used it as a wall hanging on my stairway. It is gorgeous with primitive or country/rustic decor.
Honestly, I hate to get rid of it, but I don’t decorate primitive anymore and have no one that would appreciate it, if given away. I was just a kid when I decided to try this project and was very proud of it. The hand quilting on the back is not perfect. My county fair all those years ago informed me that the knots are not supposed to show! This is truly a personal heirloom to me that I hope someone could use and enjoy.
