HANDMADE CIVIL WAR STYLE QUILT BEAUTIFUL MADDER RED & TEAL BLUE FABRICS

I am drawn to antique quilts, but could not resist purchasing this contemporary one.  It is a hand made Civil War era reproduction.  I just love the colors of the reproduction fabrics and the patchwork pattern, and the quilt is just the right weight to appear authentic!  The madder red printed fabrics are simply stunning in combination with the teal blues.  I am in love this earthy mix!  The quilt pattern is neatly assembled.  It looks like a machine was used for the procedure.  The quilting is also machine stitched.  I don't mind though, because it is not an antique piece but rather a Civil War style quilt.  It would be nice piece for a reenactor to use, and also nice to use on a bed because you don't have to worry about damaging a true antique.  The quilt is in good strong condition I did notice a few small and widely scattered areas where the stitching of the assembled pattern has come loose.  These are easily repaired if you feel the need, but they are not readily noticeable just as it is.  The overall dimensions of this beautiful quilt are approximately 64" X 82.  I believe that would easily fit a twin size bed, or even sit atop a full size bed.  A full size mattress measures 54" X 75" to give you some idea how it might look.  The quilt is clean and, as I already mentioned, in overall very good condition.
