Hocus Pocus Rag Quilt Throw
This Awesome, Unique,  one of a kind handmade rag quilt throw was made from a total of 90, 9" squares of cotton fabric. Each square consists of a cotton top layer,  a cotton batting in the middle (not flannel) for extra warmth and comfort, and a solid black cotton on the back. I have stitched each square in an X pattern to hold the batting in place and provide a quilted effect.  I used 6 different fabrics in this quilt. Three of them feature the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, one fabric with Binx the cat from Hocus Pocus, one purple mottled star fabric, and a butterscotch fabric with brooms, witches boots and stars. This larger size throw measures 67" wide x 72" long. Perfect size to snuggle under while watching everyones favorite Disney Halloween movie!
I have hand snipped all the seams to create the wonderful  "Ragged" effect. This is a very tedious and time consuming process but well worth the effort!
Care for this quilt is simple. Machine wash on cold, gentle cylcle, machine dry on low or hang to dry. I have washed and dried this quilt one time to start the beautiful ragging process for you. The seams get fuller and softer with each wash!
