Museum quality mid19th century hand painted antique fan with ornate detailing, gilding and silver leaf. The execution and painting of the facial expressions is quite fine, depicting people of wealth in gardens with columns, steps, and fountains, cherubs or angelic putti. The painting style is similar to that of Ruebens. There is a ruby colored jewel at the pivot on each side of the fan.
