This is being considered as a mystery Pin, since it was not pre-announced, and showed up almost three months after what would be considered it logical release. It can be considered a Limited Edition, since the pins will match only the number of people who signed up for D23 on its inauguration day. It is mostly Black with Gold unlike the current D23 Charter pins, which are mostly gold with black. It features Jiminy Cricket with his umbrella in his right hand and his left hand on a D23 badge pinned to his chest. To his right on a plague is the D23 logo and below that are the words: "Day One, Charter Member" and the date "March 10, 2009" This Pin was shipped as a GIFT to all D23 Day One members via UPS and FedEx as early as June 5, 2009, which can be considered its release date. It will be considered retired when all the Day One members have received this pin. The pin back has the following backstamp: A circle has the D23 logo in large characters with 7 stars above the lettering. The lower third of circle has a banner (goes across the D23") that says "Charter Year". The bottom of circle says " *2009*," and below the circle it has "©Disney" Made in China. The pin on card came with a note that states: "Dear D23 Charter Day Member, I wanted to personally thank you for becoming a member of D23 on our first day, March 10, 2009. Your support and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated, and to commemorate this special day, the D23 Team would like to present you with your exclusive Charter Day pin. We sincerely hope you're enjoying being a part of D23. Best, Steven Clark, head of D23."
All pins come with a black rubber mouse ear pin back.  I do have the brass butterfly pin backs as well.  If you would prefer one of those, please message me to that effect.
If pins are not in great condition, I will list the defect in the Condition section.  I try my hardest to weed out fakes and scrappers.  If you receive a pin that you feel is not authentic, please message me immediately for a refund.
I ship pins out the day following payment in a padded envelope.  I am happy to combine shipping for pins purchased on the same day.   Place all the pins you would like to purchase in your cart and then pay.
