Copeland Spode SPODE’S PRIMROSE Salad Plate
Offering one (1) Salad Plate by Copeland Spode in the Spode’s Primrose pattern, #1/2722.
A beautiful example from the Aesthetic Movement, this pattern was introduced in 1881 by Spode and was discontinued in 1965.
The pattern has a bright pink floral star in the center with a geometric scalloped border finished with gold trim.
The back is stamped in green
SPODE COPELAND CHINA ENGLAND
and the pattern
Spode’s PRIMROSE 1 2272 (impressed date for the three plates offered for sale are 1952 and 1953)
Plate measures 8 1/8” in diameter
In very good vintage condition free of chips, cracks, repairs or gold loss: please note there is some slight scratching on the center that can be seen when held at an angle
