rare and desirable
large centerpiece ceramic platter/shallow bowl in a rich blue-glaze by famed Mexican artisan, Emilia Castillo.
Featuring her signature silver inlay, this piece featuring silver minnows on the interior and 14 silver frogs applied to the rim. The underside also has scattered inlaid fish. Etched signature in clay on and also signed in silver inlay to underside: Plata Pura Mexico Emilia Castillo 98 MR.
In excellent overall condition with no issues to note. Really beautiful!
Notes on photography: there is glare showing in some pics. Pics 1 & 5 accurately reflect the glaze color. In many pics, the fish and frogs appear gold but they are silver. We felt the close up pics to show the details were important even though the colors of the glaze, frogs and fish are not accurate. Please message with any questions prior to purchase.
Measures approx. 17-3/4" diameter x 3" high. Will need a large box to safely ship and will weigh approx. 10lbs shipped.
