Description
This listing is for what I believe to be a 1935 Diamond T Deluxe 1-1/2 ton truck. The Deluxe Diamond T's supposedly used dash instrument panels and gauges left over from Packard's 1934 production. Those gorgeous dash panels featured individual gauges versus the standard truck that had a speedometer and a large cluster for the rest of the functions. The Deluxe truck even had a clock which is very hard to find and quite expensive. Please note that the nice front bumper assembly shown in these photos was recently stolen off of this truck so it is not included. The fact that no fool has ever jumped on and caved in the roof of the cab on this truck is about a ,000 bonus if you have ever hired a professional metal man to fix one lately.
This very hard to find early Deluxe Diamond T is very complete but it has a considerable amount of rust in the sheet metal because I bout it in Pennsylvania about 5 years ago. I had wanted the longer hood version of this truck for my collection and mistakenly thought that this truck had the longer hood but it does not. The last photo of this listing shows a spare cab, front fenders, hood and grille that came with this truck and will sell with it if you want those parts as well.
I have a pair of the nice brass plates that say "DIAMOND T" on them and are screwed to both of the hood sides that go with this truck. I do not have the missing radiator cap at this time but am trying to locate one.
This truck is located at the home ranch which is 225 miles from where I live so I can not go look at it easily. I will most likely be back up there in a week or so so please let me know if you have any specific questions regarding this truck.
I have over 40 other photos of this truck that I can email to your regular email address if you contact me by phone. Please do not ask or expect me to email them to you here through the eBay email system. I can only attach 5 per email and that system drastically reduces the size and quality of the photos.
I have a retired friend from Idaho that delivers vehicles all over the USA and he may be able to safely and economically deliver this gem to you depending on where you live and how soon you want it.
I will add more information to this description soon. I also have a nearly rust free 1935 Diamond T standard 1-1/2 ton truck listed elsewhere here on eBay. I also have a very good Deluxe 1935 Diamond T Deluxe 1-1/2 ton truck with a stainless steel grille and hood trim; a good cab with front fenders, hood and grille for a Model 201 pickup and many Diamond T grille halves, dash gauges and other nice Diamond T parts that I plan to list here soon.
