    Description

    This is a covered vegetable bowl from a child's Staffordshire toy set of dishes.  It was made by Copeland and has their mark on the base.  It dates to between 1840 and 1850 in England.  The bowl is 5 & 1/4" long by 3 & 5/8" wide.  With the lid in place it is 2 & 3/4" tall.  There is a little chip on the underside of the lid.  It stands on a little pedestal and has blue hearts in a chain around the rim of the lid and the bowl.  The knop on the lid has molded leaves beneath it.  A very pretty and rare old piece.
